The Cartier Santos is one of the most iconic watches in existence - it was created by Louis Cartier in 1904 for the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont to minimize the risk of using a pocket watch while flying. Today, after over 100 years, every watch fan knows the characteristic shape of the case and bracelet. Our example was originally sold on August 13, 1988 in Lucerne and is in excellent visual condition. The case is in excellent, sharp condition - the only noteworthy are the scratches on the 18-carat gold bezel - most likely, if time allows, we will polish them out within a few days. The mechanism underwent a full watchmaker service on December 1, 2023, and until this date in 2024, the watch is covered by our watchmaker's warranty. This is the so-called Full Set, which is why it is a treat for collectors.
