In 1977, Heuer introduced the Chronosplit GMT Manhattan Caliber 104. It was the first Chronosplit to feature an analog time display and an independent LCD digital time/chronograph in a wristwatch. To quote an old Heuer ad from 1979, which you can see below: “The perfect combination of an analog quartz watch and a digital stopwatch.
The Chronosplit GMT, as the name suggests, can display two time zones simultaneously, one on the upper digital display and the other on the lower analog display, even when the 1/100 second chronograph is engaged.
In 1979, Heuer produced a more rounded derivative of the Chronosplit Manhattan GMT, the Caliber 107 Senator GMT. The Senator essentially used the same top module as the Manhattan, but marked it as 107 cal. The quartz analog bottom display uses the ESA 935.102 six-jewel analog module, while the Manhattan uses a four-jewel movement derived from the Citizen.
Our copy is in very good condition considering its age, it has a bracelet for a wrist up to 20-21 cm.
